General Questions

1. What makes your ceramics unique?

All our ceramics are handmade in our York-based studio, using locally inspired designs and techniques. Each piece is crafted with care, so no two items are exactly the same, making every piece truly one of a kind.

2. Are your ceramics food safe?

Yes, all our tableware is food safe unless specified otherwise.

3. How do I care for my ceramics?

  • Wash by hand with mild soap and warm water.

  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

  • Some items are dishwasher safe, but we recommend handwashing to preserve their longevity.

Shipping Questions

4. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide! Shipping rates and delivery times depend on the destination and will be calculated at checkout.

5. How long will it take to receive my order?

  • UK Orders: 7–10 working days from dispatch.

  • International Orders: 10–21 working days from dispatch.

6. What if my order arrives damaged?

Please email us at studio@rockgardenceramics.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and photos of the damage so we can assist you.

Returns and Custom Orders

7. Can I return my purchase?

  • Returns are accepted within 14 days for standard products if they are unused and in their original condition.

  • Custom and commissioned items are non-returnable unless damaged upon receipt.

8. How do I return an item?

Email us at studio@rockgardenceramics.co.uk with your order number and reason for return. Once approved, we’ll provide instructions for returning the item.

9. Can I customise my ceramics?

Yes, we offer custom commissions! A deposit of 50% or the cost of materials (whichever is higher) is required to begin. Contact us to discuss your ideas.

Pottery Lessons

10. Do you offer pottery lessons?

Yes, we host pottery lessons in our studio and at external venues in York. Find out more on our course and lessons page .

11. How do I book a lesson?

Visit our website or email us at studio@rockgardenceramics.co.uk to book your place.

12. What is your cancellation policy for lessons?

  • Lessons cancelled 7+ days in advance are eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance are non-refundable but can be rescheduled with 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability.

Wholesale and Collaborations

13. Do you offer wholesale pricing?

14. Can you create branded mugs or products for my business?

Absolutely! We specialise in creating custom designs for coffee shops, restaurants, and other businesses. Let’s collaborate to make something unique for your brand.
