MUSIC AT STUDIO

Our live music sessions are deliberately small and simple.

No stage. No microphones. Just an artist, their instrument and a small audience gathered in the studio.

Each session is a chance to hear musicians perform in a more relaxed and intimate setting, with a mixture of original music and occasional covers.

Our coffee and tea bar is open during the evening, and you're welcome to bring your own alcohol.

WHAT TO EXPECT

An intimate space
STUDIO is a small room and, for live music sessions, we change our usual coffee shop layout into simple theatre-style seating. Expect to sit closely together and share benches with other guests.

Stripped-back performances
No stage, microphones or big production. Just live music in the room.

Artist-led sessions
Each session is organised and hosted by the musicians themselves, with STUDIO providing the space.

Drinks
Coffee, tea and soft drinks are available from our bar. You're also welcome to BYOB.

A relaxed evening
Arrive, grab a drink, find a seat and enjoy the music.

STUDIO is a small independent space at 9 Scarcroft Road, York.

Please check the individual event listing for doors and performance times, as these may vary between sessions.

Please note: there is no customer toilet at STUDIO.
