Black Stoneware Plate Set
A set of two hand-thrown black stoneware plates, one small main plate and one large main plate, for different portion sizes. Each has a wide, unglazed rim, trimmed foot and handwritten maker’s mark. The centre is finished with a gloss white glaze, which reacts with the black clay during firing to create a burnt brown finish.
Made by hand in our York studio.
Glaze: gloss white centre, raw black clay rim.
Set includes:
1 small main plate: approximately 26cm in diameter.
1 large main plate: approximately 28.5cm in diameter.
Each piece is individually made, with natural variations in shape, colour and finish.
Care: dishwasher safe.
